How to Add Conversion Actions in Google Ads for Dazos CRM Integration
Adding conversion actions in Google Ads is crucial if you want to track leads or sales that don’t happen directly on your website—like marking a patient as “Admitted” in your CRM. These are added as what Google calls “offline conversion actions”. Here’s how to set up these actions so Dazos CRM can report conversions to Google Ads using the API, without needing a data source.
Step 1: Log in to your Google Ads account and navigate to the Goals menu.
Step 2: On the Goals page, you’ll land on the Summary screen. Scroll down to see available predefined conversion categories.
Step 3: Click the Create Conversion Action button to start.
Step 4: On the next page, skip the category selection for now and click the Back button on the bottom to access the Data Source options.
Step 5: On the Choose Data Sources to Measure Conversions page, scroll to the Conversions Offline section.
Step 6: Click Edit Data Sources under Offline Conversions.
Step 7: Select the Skip this step and set up a Data Source later setting. This allows you to connect your CRM using the API.
Step 8: Confirm the checkbox acknowledging your customer data complies with Google’s EU User Content Policy and Customer Data policies. Click Done.
Step 9: See that Connect Data Source later is now available under Conversions Offline.
Step 10: Click Save and Continue.
Step 11: Back on the category page, click See all to view all conversion action categories.
Step 12: For tracking qualified leads and admissions, you may select the Converted Lead or the Purchase category, or choose any category according to your needs for your conversion action.
Step 13: Under Create Conversion, choose Connect Data Source later.
Step 14: Click Edit settings to customize your conversion action.
Step 15: Give your conversion a clear name—like “Opportunity Admitted in CRM.”
Step 16: Adjust other conversion settings as needed, such as choosing to use different values for each conversion.
Step 17: Click Save and Continue to finish setup.
You’re all set! Your new conversion action will appear on your Goals screen under “Purchase: Opportunity Admitted in CRM.” Now, Dazos CRM can properly reference this action when pushing offline conversions to Google Ads—no data source setup required. Just use the “Connect Data Source later” option so the CRM can send conversion data directly via Google’s API.
