When to Use This Guide
Use this process when you need to manually connect patient records that exist in both systems but are not automatically linked. This is typically needed when automatic linking has failed or when dealing with historical patient data.
Finding EMR Patient IDs
Patient IDs can be found in your EMR portal URLs. When you navigate to a patient's record in your EMR, the patient ID will be visible in the browser's address bar.
Manual Linking Process
Locate the Patient Record
Navigate to the patient's record in Dazos CRM that you want to link to the EMR.
Access Manual Linking
Look for the manual patient linking option in the patient's record or settings area.
Enter the EMR Patient ID
Input the patient ID you found in the EMR portal URL.
Attempt to Link
Click the search or link button to establish the connection.
Known Issues
⚠️ Important: The manual patient linking functionality may not work properly and could display errors during the linking process. This feature is rarely used since the system typically relies on automatic linking.
If you encounter errors when attempting manual linking:
The search may load briefly but then fail
Error messages may appear without clear explanations
The linking process may not complete successfully
When to Contact Support
Contact Dazos support if you experience any of the following:
Consistent errors during the manual linking process
The manual linking interface is not accessible
Multiple patients need to be linked and manual linking is not functioning
You need assistance with bulk patient linking operations
When contacting support, provide:
The specific error messages you're seeing
The EMR patient IDs you're trying to link
Screenshots of any error screens
Alternative Solutions
If manual linking is not working:
Verify that automatic linking is properly configured
Check if the patient records have matching demographic information
Consider recreating the patient record if linking continues to fail
Work with support to investigate integration issues
