How to Add Users to Dashboard Report Graphs (CRM)

This guide explains how to add a user to dashboard report graphs so their activity appears in metrics like completed tasks, incomplete tasks, and other performance indicators.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure the user already exists in the system and has the appropriate permissions to view the dashboard

  • Verify you have administrative access to modify dashboard report configurations

  • Confirm the user has been active and has completed activities that would generate reportable data

Steps

  1. Access the Dashboard Report
Navigate to the specific dashboard containing the reports where you want the user to appear (e.g., Sales Team Dashboard).

  2. Edit the Report Graph Setup
Locate the specific report graph and click the edit button to access the graph configuration settings.

  3. Add the User to Graph Setup
In the graph setup configuration, add the user to the list of users whose data should be included in the report. This ensures the system will look for their activity data when generating the graph.

  4. Apply Changes to All Relevant Reports
If the user should appear in multiple reports on the same dashboard, repeat this process for each individual report graph. Adding a user to one report does not automatically add them to other reports on the same dashboard.

  5. Save Configuration Changes
Save all changes to the graph setup configuration to ensure the updates are applied.

Verification / Expected Result

After adding the user to the graph setup, their name should appear in the report graphs. However, the user will only show data if they have activities that comply with the specific report filters.

For example, if you're looking at a "completed tasks" report, the user must have completed tasks that meet the report's criteria (date range, task type, etc.) to display data in that specific graph.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

  • User appears in some reports but not others: Each report on a dashboard requires individual configuration. Make sure to add the user to each specific report where they should appear.

  • User added but no data showing: Verify that the user has activities that comply with the report filters. Even after being added to the graph setup, users won't display data if they don't meet the report criteria.

  • Changes not reflecting: Allow time for the system to update, and refresh your browser to see the latest data.
