How to Remove Bounced Subscribers
Step 1 — Identify Bounced Subscribers in Mandrill
Log into your Mandrill account
Navigate to Outbound → Activity
Search for the email addresses from your campaign
Look for subscribers with status Bounced or Rejected
.
Step 2 — Remove Subscribers from iCampaign
Choose one of the following options depending on your needs:
Option A — Delete Subscribers Completely
In iCampaign, go to your subscriber list
Find the bounced subscribers
Select them and choose the Delete option
Confirm the deletion when prompted
Option B — Remove from Segment Only
Go to your segment settings in iCampaign
Edit the segment's membership
Remove the bounced subscribers from the segment without deleting them entirely
Important Notes
⚠️ Warning: Deletions are permanent — double-check before confirming subscriber deletions.
⚠️ Note: iCampaign workflows cannot automate this process. Bounce status from Mandrill cannot be used as a workflow condition, making this a manual process.
💡 Tip: If the bounce reason is "Denylist", you may need to remove the subscriber from the denylist to resolve future sends, but this will not automatically remove them from your segment.
