4. Connecting a Google Ads Account
Before pulling campaigns, you must connect at least one Google Ads account. (If you have already authorized Google in a previous session, skip to Section 5).
Step 1: Enable the integration. On the Google Ads Settings screen, tick the Enabled checkbox.
Step 2: Continue with Google. Click the Continue with Google button. A Google login window opens—sign in with the email that has access to your Google Ads account and approve the requested permissions.
Step 3: Verify the connected email. Once authorized, the connected Google account email is shown on the settings screen under Google Ads Email.
5. Pulling Campaigns from Google Ads
Step 1: Open Manage Campaigns. On the Google Ads Settings page, click Manage Campaigns to reach the Campaign Management page.
Step 2: Select the Google Ads Account. From the Google Ads Account dropdown, choose the connected account you want to work with. Only active accounts appear in the list.
Step 3: Select the Customer ID. Once an account is selected, the Customer ID dropdown becomes available. Pick the Customer ID you want to pull campaigns for. (Your Customer ID appears in the top-right corner of your Google Ads account next to your account name).
Step 4: Find All Campaigns. Click Find All Campaigns. The system fetches every campaign under the selected Customer ID and displays them in the Sync Campaigns List.
Show the Manage Campaigns page with the Account and Customer ID dropdowns selected, and the Find All Campaigns button
Understanding the Sync Campaigns List
Column | What it shows |
Checkbox | Select the campaigns you want to sync into the CRM. |
Campaign ID | Google Ads internal ID. Click to open the linked CRM Campaign record (if already synced). |
Campaign Name | Name of the campaign in Google Ads. |
Status | Google Ads status (Enabled / Paused / Removed). |
Advertising Channel Type | Channel type, e.g., Search, Display, Video. |
Total Spend | Cumulative spend pulled into the CRM so far. |
Last Synced On | Time since the last successful spend sync (e.g., '2 hours ago'). |
Sync Status | Synced (green) if the campaign exists in CRM; Not Sync (red) if it has not been imported yet. |
6. Pulling Campaigns & Spends into the CRM
Step 1: Select campaigns. Tick the checkbox next to each campaign you want to import. Use the header checkbox to select all campaigns at once.
Step 2: Open the action bar. As soon as at least one campaign is selected, the Pull Campaigns & Spends button slides into view at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Pull Campaigns & Spends. Click the button. For each selected campaign, the system:
Creates a new Campaign record in the CRM if it does not already exist.
Pulls daily spend history (up to one year) for that campaign.
Skips creating duplicates if the campaign is already linked.
Step 4: Confirm sync. After the action completes, the Sync Status column changes to Synced (green) and Last Synced On updates to 'just now'.
Show the Sync Campaigns list with a few campaigns checked, and the Pull Campaigns & Spends button visible at the bottom
7. Automatic Daily Spend Sync
Once a campaign is synced, a background cron job named GoogleAdsDailyCampaignSpend runs once every 24 hours and pulls the previous day's spend for every synced campaign across every connected Google Ads account. No manual action is required.
Frequency: once per day (every 86,400 seconds).
Scope: every campaign that has Sync Status = Synced.
Result: the campaign's spend record in the CRM is updated with the latest day's amount.
Note: If the cron fails for a day, it will resume on its next run and back-fill the missing day.
Excluding Campaigns from Sync
If you do not want a campaign's spend to be pulled going forward, simply leave it unchecked on the Sync Campaigns List before clicking Pull Campaigns & Spends. Only checked campaigns are imported and tracked. Campaigns that are already synced can be excluded by removing them from the CRM Campaigns module.
8. Where the Imported Data Appears
Campaigns module: Each synced Google Ads campaign appears as a CRM Campaign record.
Campaign Detail view: Opens the campaign record and shows the spend tracking section with daily spend values.
Sync Campaigns List: The same screen used to pull campaigns also acts as the live status dashboard (Total Spend, Last Synced On, Sync Status).
9. Troubleshooting & FAQ
Issue | Likely Cause | What to Do |
Continue with Google button does nothing. | Pop-ups blocked in the browser. | Allow pop-ups for the CRM domain and retry. |
Customer ID dropdown is empty. | Logged-in Google account does not have access to any Customer ID. | Re-authorize with an account that has Google Ads access. |
No campaigns appear after Find All Campaigns. | The selected Customer ID has no campaigns, or all are removed. | Verify in Google Ads UI, then retry. |
Sync Status stays 'Not Sync' after Pull. | Network or API error during pull. | Click Pull Campaigns & Spends again; if it persists, contact Dazos support. |
Daily spend not updating. | Daily cron job is paused, or the Google Ads workflow is disabled. | Open Google Ads Settings, ensure the workflow toggle is Active; contact admin to verify the cron status. |
Campaign ID link does not open a CRM record. | Campaign has not been pulled yet (Sync Status = Not Sync). | Tick the checkbox and click Pull Campaigns & Spends first. |
10. Best Practices
Only pull campaigns you actually need—every synced campaign is refreshed daily and counts toward background load.
Keep the Google Ads workflow active; deactivating it stops the daily spend updates.
After re-authorizing Google with a new account, re-check the Customer ID dropdown—it refreshes only after a successful authorization.
Review Last Synced On periodically; values older than 48 hours typically indicate a stalled cron job.
