Overview
When setting up a new KIPU EMR integration in Dazos CRM, Levels of Care (LOCs) and Discharge Types do not always pull automatically into the CRM for mapping. When this happens, Dazos Support must manually add these picklist values to the backend before they can be mapped in EMR Settings.
When This Applies
This situation typically occurs during new customer onboarding or initial KIPU integration setup, when LOC and/or Discharge Type values from KIPU are not appearing in the CRM mapping dropdowns under EMR Settings. Until the values are added manually, mapping cannot be completed.
What Support Needs to Add the Values
To request manual addition of KIPU LOC and Discharge Type values, submit a support ticket with the following information:
Your CRM instance URL
A complete list of all Levels of Care (LOCs) to be added
A complete list of all Discharge Types to be added
Support will add these values to the appropriate picklist fields on the backend so they appear in the mapping dropdowns in EMR Settings.
Two Separate Mapping Sections in EMR Settings
Once the values have been added, there are two distinct mapping sections in EMR Settings that both need to be populated. These are easy to confuse:
Discharge ⟺ Discharge — maps KIPU discharge types to CRM discharge status values.
Discharge ⟺ Admitted Status — maps KIPU discharge types to CRM admitted status values (this section appears above the Discharge ⟺ Discharge section).
Both sections must be populated independently. Values added to one section do not automatically appear in the other.
Important: Avoid Duplicate Entries
When values are added to picklist fields, adding the same value more than once will result in duplicate entries appearing in the mapping dropdown. Duplicates must be cleaned up manually by support and can cause confusion during mapping.
⚠️ Warning: When requesting additions, provide a clean, deduplicated list of values. If duplicates are discovered after values have been added, contact Dazos Support to have them removed before completing your mapping configuration.
Tips & Notes
💡 Tip: After Support confirms the values have been added, log out and back in to your CRM instance to ensure the updated picklist values load correctly in EMR Settings.
✅ Best Practice: When submitting your request, clearly separate your LOC list and your Discharge Type list to help Support add values to the correct picklist fields without errors.
⚠️ Note: Both the Discharge ⟺ Discharge and Discharge ⟺ Admitted Status mapping sections must be completed. If values appear in one section but not the other, contact Support to confirm values have been added to both.
