Finish Your Domain Setup With a Sending Email (iCampaign)

Overview

Setting up a sending domain and creating the email address it sends from are now a single, continuous flow. When you finish configuring a domain, iCampaign takes you straight to the next step and suggests an address for you. The Sending Domains list also shows, at a glance, which domains are still missing their sending email.

Before You Begin

You'll need:

  • Access to Settings → Domains → Sending Domains in iCampaign.

  • A domain you are adding or have already added as a sending domain.

  • Access to your DNS provider, if you are still adding the DNS records.

Access requirements: You need permission to view and create domains. If your role only lets you view domains, you will still see which domains are missing an email, but the shortcuts will take you to the domain's Sending Emails list rather than the creation form, and you will not be prompted to create one.

⚠️ If you do not see the Sending Domains screen at all, ask your administrator to grant you access to the Domains module, or contact Dazos support to have it enabled for your instance.

Steps

1. Finish Setting Up Your Domain

From iCampaign, navigate to Settings → Domains → Sending Domains and set up your domain as usual. You can choose either option — both now work the same way:

  • Automatic with Entri — Entri detects your DNS provider and adds the records for you.

  • Set up manually — you follow the step-by-step guide and copy each DNS record into your provider yourself.

When you have finished adding the records, click Finish. The manual guide has this button at the bottom of the last step; the Entri screen has it at the top right, next to Check status.

You are returned to the Sending Domains list, and a message appears reminding you that the domain cannot send email until you add an address for it.

Add sending email

Opens the form to create the address, with a suggestion already filled in.

Closes the message. Your domain keeps everything you just configured.

💡 Tip: Your DNS records can take anywhere from a few minutes to about half an hour to be recognized across the internet. You do not have to wait for that before adding your sending email — you can do both now and let the records finish on their own.

2. Add the Sending Email

Click Add sending email. The form opens with an address already suggested for you and your company name filled in as the From name.

Fixed to the domain you just set up. This cannot be changed here.

@yourdomain.com

From name

The name recipients see in their inbox next to the address.

Your Treatment Center

Signature

Optional. Appears at the bottom of emails sent from this address.

  1. Edit the address or the From name if you want — both are yours to change.

  2. Optionally write a signature.

  3. Click Save.

The address is created and linked to that domain, and you are taken to the domain's list of sending emails.

💡 Tip: If the suggested address already exists for that domain, iCampaign proposes the next one available instead — for example admissions2. If you type an address that already exists and try to save, you will see a message telling you so, and the form will not save it.

3. Skip It for Now

You are never forced to create the address right away. You can leave at any point and nothing you configured is lost.

Your domain stays configured and keeps its verification progress. You can add the sending email whenever you are ready:

  1. Go to Settings → Domains → Sending Domains.

  2. Click the domain name to open its Sending Emails screen.

  3. Click Add email.

4. Spot Domains That Still Need an Email

The Sending Domains list now has a Sending Email column so you can see at a glance which domains are ready to send and which are not.

What you see

What it means

Amber "Sending email missing"

The domain is verified but cannot send yet. Click the tag to go straight to the form.

Green "Email configured"

The domain has at least one sending address and is ready to use.

A dash (—)

The domain is still waiting on its DNS records. Finish those first; the email comes after.

You can also work with this column like any other:

Control

Purpose

Sending Email column heading

Click to sort, so the domains missing an email group together.

Filter box below the heading

Choose Missing to show only domains without an email, or Configured to show only those that have one.

Important: The first time you open this screen after the update, every verified domain that has never had a sending email will show the amber tag. That is expected — it is showing you work that was already outstanding, not a new problem.

5. Show the Column If You Don't See It

If you have customized your columns in the past, the new column is added for you automatically. If you have hidden it on purpose and want it back:

  1. Click the columns icon at the top-left of the table ("Click here to manage List Columns").

  2. Find Sending Email in the Hidden Columns panel.

  3. Drag it across to Active Columns.

  4. Click Save.

The list reloads with the column in place. You can drag it into whatever position you prefer.

Need Help?

If you run into issues:

  1. Open the domain from the Sending Domains list and check its verification status — if records are still pending, give DNS a little more time and use Check status.

  2. Confirm the domain has at least one address on its Sending Emails screen; the green Email configured tag is the quickest way to tell.

  3. Contact Dazos support with the domain name and what you saw on screen, and reference ICD-1556.
