Overview
The Manual Pull from EMR feature allows you to search for patients in your EMR system and pull them into Dazos CRM. This guide explains how the feature works and its current limitations.
How Manual Pull from EMR Works
Manual Pull from EMR is available for most EMR integrations, including Lightning Step EMR. The feature allows you to manually search for and import patient records from your EMR into Dazos CRM.
Accessing the Feature
Navigate to the EMR Settings in your Dazos CRM
Look for the "Manually Pull Patients from EMR Settings" button
Click the button to open the patient search interface
Current Search Limitations
The Manual Pull feature has specific limitations you should be aware of:
Search Method: You must search for patients by their first name or last name - you cannot browse all patients
No Sorting Options: The system does not offer options to sort or filter results by most recent admissions
No Recent Filter: There is no built-in filter to show only the most recently admitted patients
Viewing Recent Admissions
For recent patient admissions, check the correct section in your Admissions Management module:
Correct Section: "Last 5 Admissions For All Locations" - This shows the most recent admissions accurately
Incorrect Section: "Last 5 Inquiries For All Locations" - This shows inquiries, not actual admissions
💡 Tip: The "Last 5 Admissions" section will display recent admissions, but for older patients, you'll still need to use the search function in Manual Pull.
Automated Patient Import
In addition to manual pulls, you can set up automated patient import:
Enable the EMR Setting: "Create a new opportunity in Dazos CRM when a patient is found in the EMR census but is not in CRM"
This setting automatically imports new patients found in your EMR census
Manual pull is still useful for importing specific patients who may not have been caught by the automated process
Best Practices
Use the search function with complete first or last names for best results
Check the "Last 5 Admissions For All Locations" section for recently admitted patients
Combine automated import settings with manual pulls for comprehensive patient coverage
